Pride demands

This past week there was an amazing parade in Toronto, Ontario. This parade is about bringing everyone together with different ethnicities. Excepting one another regards as of what you look like or how you were raised. It is about celebrating everyone's culture in a week.

What is pride parade? 

Pride Parade (also known as Pride Marches, Pride events , and Pride events) for the LGBT community are events celebrating Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Culture and Pride. The events also at times serve as demonstrations for legal rights such as same-sex marriage. Most pride events occur annually, and many take place around June to commemorate the Stonewall riots, a pivotal moment in modern LGBT social movements. 

Who are the black live matters group? 

Black lives matter is a chapter-based national organization working for the validity of black life. They are working to rebuild the black liberation movement. 

This group was created in 2012 after trayvon Martins nurdered, George Zimmerman. This movement is a call to action and a response to the anti-black racism. They have a unique contribution that goes beyond extraduicial killings of black people by police. 

What does black lives matter mean?

This group means the conversation around state violence to include all of the ways in which black people are intentionally left powerless of the state. They talk about how black people are deprived of the basic human rights and dignity.

Back to the story... This past week we had many powerful men and women of Canada at this parade from the Prime Minister to the Mayor and Premier of Ontario. As the parade began it was an amazing site from the colors and the massive crowd of people just enjoying themselves. Until they came across the Black Lives matter group just blocking there path. They were there and they didn't move until the pride comity signed a list of demands that included some very weird demands such as; not allowing cops in the parade, double the funding for blockorama, increase represent of ethnicity in the pride Toronto staff, allowing community full control of highering. Some people were blown away from some of these demands but after this was signed the parade continued.
